1.1 Introduction

iRAPP was developed with one aim: to simplify things! Having to work with both PC and Mac computers can quickly become cumbersome. Two keyboards, two mice, two sets of displays and in most cases only one brain to control it all! iRAPP allows users of PC and Mac to combine multiple computers into one terminal. It also makes it possible to share a Mac computer and all its applications with multiple persons either through a local network or remotely via the Internet. What more? It synchronizes clipboards allowing users to quickly copy images and formatted text between Mac and Windows computers.

To make things even sweeter, the latest version of iRAPP supports Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), allowing users to access a remote Mac computer with any RDP software. iRAPP is entirely compatible with MS RDP Client for Windows, Rdesktop for Unix and CoRD for Mac. It can also be used with MS RDP Client for Mac (version 2.0 or higher is recommended).

In keeping with this simple philosophy, the installation and configuration of iRAPP was engineered to be as straight forward and easy as possible. There's no need to be a seasoned geek to enjoy the benefits of iRAPP. So while iRAPP comes with a complete User Manual explaining every option and setting in detail, all you need to know to get started fits on the next page.
