-
Appearance & Behavior - These options affect the remote windows layout and behavior.
-
Maximize workspace - switch to full-screen view of Workspace.
-
Constrain proportions - this option will keep the proportions on the remote screen when the full-screen mode is used.
-
Track windows outside - this option can track the state of windows outside the remote desktop.
NB: Mac OS doesn't track the state of windows if they are outside the desktop. IRAPP can emulate this function, but this mode increases the network traffic and remote Mac CPU loading.
-
Gray windows outside - this option darkens the windows that are outside the borders of the remote desktop. This feature shows the user the portion of any windows that is not tracked by the remote OS (see"Track windows outside"). Turn this option off if:
-
The "Track windows outside" is on.
-
The remote system has more than one monitor.
-
Do not stretch desktop - when using the "Remote Desktop Mode", this option will maintain the remote desktop scale.
-
Allow dragging by apple menu - allow moving the Workspace by dragging the Mac OS system menu.
-
Allow maximizing at dragging - if this option is on, the Workspace will switch automatically to full-screen mode when dragging across the top border of the screen.
-
Keep Dock always on top - display Mac OS Dock at the top of Windows desktop.
-
Keep Apple menu always on top - display Apple menu at the top of Windows desktop.
NB: in some instances, the "Keep Dock always on top" and "Keep Apple menu always on top" options may conflict with the correct layout of the Mac OS windows. This problem is due to incorrect processing of layered windows in Windows. If you experience problems with the display of remote windows, turn off "Keep Dock always on top" and "Keep Apple menu always on top".
-
Reserve space for Apple Menu - this option allocates part of the Windows desktop for the Mac OS system menu while the Workspace is in full-screen mode. It allows the Mac system menu to be accessible even when the Workspace is displaying a full-screen window of a local Windows application.
-
Keyboard Map
-
"Use keyboard maps" - if this option is on, user's maps for keyboard codes conversion are used while connecting to the remote computer. For more information on creating and managing keyboard maps, refer to the "Keyboard Maps Management" section of this document.
-
Image quality - this option sets the quality of the remote windows. A lower image quality should be used for networks with slower data transfer speed as this will limit the amount of data transferred over the network and improve performances.
