3.2.5 Maintenance

  • Options file - Workspace options are saved for each individual remote computer. These options allow a set of options to be saved to a file and applied to any connection.
    • Save As - this option saves the current option settings to a file (specified by the user).
    • Open - this option allows a previously saved set of options to be applied as the current workspace options.
    NB: The server address is saved along with all the other settings to the options file. When loading an options file, the address of the server will automatically be changed to the saved address and should be manually changed if the saved options are being used for a different remote computer.
  • History - these options manage the displayed messages and connection history.
    • Reset messages - clicking on this option will reset the state of information messages that were turned off by the option: "Do not show this message again".
    • Clear history - this option clears the connection history.
    NB: when clearing the history, all the connection settings that were saved will be deleted.
  • Defaults - default options management.
    • Save To Defaults - save current options as default for all new servers.
    • Reset To Defaults - replace current options with the default options.
    • Reset All - change all the servers options saved in history to the default options.
