5.1 Functions

The Maps Manager offers the following options:

  • New - create a new map (refer to the "Map Editor" section of this document for more information).
  • Edit - edit an existing map (refer to the "Map Editor" section of this document for more information).
  • Clone - create a copy of an existing map.
  • Delete - delete the selected map.
  • Move Up - increase the priority of the selected map (refer to the Map Selection Logic of this document for more information).
  • Move Down - decrease the priority of the selected map (refer to the Map Selection Logic of this document for more information).
  • Reset - delete all "user created" maps and restore the default maps.
  • Export - save the selected map to a file.
  • Import - add a map from an existing file.

The Maps Manager displays all existing maps name along with their applicable keyboards and input language. The highlighted "Display Name" indicates the selected map to which any relevant function will be applied (eg: Edit and Clone). To select a different map, click on its name.

Maps are considered "Active" only when the checkbox located next to their name is selected - refer to the Map Selection Logic for more information on how this option influences map selection.
