6.1 Recommended Software

iRAPP supports the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). Which means that third party RDP software can be used to access Mac computers running iRAPP server.

Here are a few recommendations of free RDP software, for different platforms:

• Windows - MS Remote Connection. Most standard installations of Windows include the MS RDP software. It should be accessible under the menu: Start > All Programs > Accessories > Communications > Remote Desktop Connection.
• Mac - either CoRD (available at http://cord.sourceforge.net) or MS Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac 2 (available from www.mircrosoft.com).
• Unix - Rdesktop (available at www.rdesktop.org).
