How do I configure my firewall to accept iRAPP?

To configure your firewall, you need add the following applications to your firewall exceptions list located at System Preferences > Security > Firewall > Advanced:

  • Daemon: "/System/Library/CoreServices/rapserver.app/Contents/MacOS/rapserverd"
  • License Manager: "/System/Library/CoreServices/rapserver.app/Contents/Agents/iRAPP License.app/Contents/MacOS/iRAPP License"

 

Please note you need to add the full paths exactly as listed above. The easiest way to do so is:

  1. Open System Preferences > Security > Firewall > Advanced  dialog.
  2. Launch Terminal and type: Open "/System/Library/CoreServices/rapserver.app/Contents/MacOS/"
  3. Press Enter. A finder window with "rapserverd" executable should appear.
  4. Drag "rapserverd" executable file and drop it into Firewall exceptions list.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for "/System/Library/CoreServices/rapserver.app/Contents/Agents/iRAPP License.app/Contents/MacOS/" path and "iRAPP License" executable file.
  6. Reboot computer.
